There are quite a few synths for dance, and some are multipurpose. A great
synth that gives you ability to edit and use presets is Omnisphere, it has a
40GB library, plus expansions/extra presets you can buy for it. Steve did an
awesome job at spotting it up, and you can have full access to the UI
through his HSC set.
Other synths that are usable include z3ta+ (included with sonar), z3ta+2
(separate purchase, but usable), Sylenth1 (I'm working on a set for this
synth), Massive (Steve made an HSC that let's you load presets), FM8 (Steve
has a set for this as well), Spire (I'm working on a set for that), Predator
(use presets and edit through inspector), Blue2, and a few others.
Take a look at vipaudioaccess.com to see what Steve has done and what else
is available. I hope to have some stuff up there soon as well, once I figure
out a few things around here.

Well, I'm just going to start learning this.
I was never able to use the synth on the mac so never got to play with it at
all.
I'd like to do both eventually though, but what would be best to start with?
