Barbie,

If you already have CakeTalking, then take a look at the laptop keyboard 
layout commands and that will help you decide if you want to connect an 
external full-sized computer keyboard.

    my primary daw is still going to be my desktop.  Can sonar perform midi
functions using laptop keys or do I need a second more portable music
keyboard?
