Hi Dave,

There are different settings you can have loop mode set too.
It's explained well in the Katetalking Tutorials. Don't remember off hand what
you need to do as I don't use loop mode much.

Regarding creating a drum beat that loops on the fly without set from and thu
times, don't believe you can do that, however, if you turn loop mode off and
say you did 12 bars that you like just set the From and thru time that
corresponds with those 12 bars press control enter to select and then turn loop
on.

Hope this helps a little,
Steve W

Subject: [ddots-l] learning to use loop function

Hi All, Have read info on creating a loop and after putting in the start and
end time and turning on loop I go to record the loop and I do not hear the loop
of what I've recorded til I stop my recorded loop hit space and go to listen by
hitting space. Shouldn't i be able to listen to what I've recorded and add to
it all at once rather than stopping to hear the original. I obviously recorded
three or four times through the loop but don't hear it til I stop my recording
and hit space to listen; if this makes since.
Also, am wondering if there is a way to create a loop without knowing
exactly how long it is going to be ahead of time. Another words, if I wanted to
do a drum loop and just started jamming, I may not know in advance that I want
this loop to be 16 bars. Is there a way to jam on something in loop mode and
have loop stop when I hit a key or something. Again, am sorry in advance if I
am not explaining myself properly but hopefully you have the general idea. I
have a looping pedal for guitar and can jam on something and use pedal to enter
the loops start and stop on the fly rather than needing to enter it before
loops begins. Any ideas are appreciated and excuse the real novice questions.
Dave
