I'm not aware of a single workstation that DD has sold in the last 2 years that has not included Firewire. The Fast Track is a usb unit. Have certainly seen the units you are speaking of and easy enough to find even locally which is good. Have you had any experience with this Fast Track ultra and if so, is my experience typical or am i possibly missing something. Am really interested to know if I should be able to use this software and just can't read it for some reason or if others also find it not very user friendly. Though i like the low noise characteristics of the fast track Ultra, don't mind switching to another unit if will do the trick and still fairly low noise. Am sorry for several questions in one post but guess big question is about what a firewire input looks like so i'd know if i have one. Does it look similar to usb as think may know where it is on my pc. Also if any info on fast track. thanks in advance as you are always extremely helpful and truly appreciate it. Mind you, you will require a firewire card to run those. If anyone has this interface and have luck using it, perhaps you can contact me off list so as to not bore others. i like the interface very much as far as being small and having very low noise but don't know what is required to read its software. Willing to buy a different interface from another company if easier to use their software or does everything onboard the unit. any ideas. Thanks much. Very much a novice and still trying to learn so could have overlooked something but don't know where to start. Right now can only use one input at a time cause can't read the software.
