and fried eggs too, that should cause quite a white storm. All kidding aside though, you might be able to find something on google, and I would definatly try some that starts off in the centre, and then panne slight to the left, and then to the right, and then use something like gramular synthesys to to break the sound in to like tricklets, and then take the sound and expand it by putting one track far to the left, another far to the right, and then a center one crosspanning very quickly from left to right, and then top it off with the sound going in to the centre, with a flange, and reverb, and then fade out. How's about that for craziness. This is how I ended up getting 95% on my sound editing class. I took a opticon once, and applied pitch along with distortion, and variations of up down pitches, and made it sound like a race car. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sean A. Subject: [ddots-l] my school assignment

I have to create music out of white noise for my next school assignment. I need to make a 2 minute composition out of just white noise.
I want to hear ideas as to how others would approach this project

First question, since I need a signal or noise generator, are there any in Sonar 8? ProTools seems to have a tone/noise generator, I could not find one in Sonar 8.

Help me make noise.
