Hi Ramy, I've been using a Braille Lite 2000 AKA the Braille Lite 18 since
1997 and it has only been serviced three times, twice for battery
replacement and once for Braille cell replacement. I would say that it is
very stable and compact for travel. It connects to my computer via 9-pin
serial cable, through which I can transfer files to and from my computer
using the Braille Lite 2000. You can also use it as an external Braille
display or synthesizer.Hope this helps Robert.
