[ddots-l] Re: problem with ProjectMix

Charles, when I go to the output, on the first track, it says master bus.
But where is that master bus, that all the tracks are going to. I never see
that? That would be my guess, that that master bus isn't there, or it is not
sending the sound from the microphone to SONAR. But that makes since from a
analog recording set up. Is that true in this case? If so, how do I get to
the master bus?

Thanks, Doug.

Doug:

So, if I understand correctly, the problem you are having is only with new
projects? When you start Sonar, does it open with one of the triple A
templates? If it does not, try going into the open menue and select one of
the triple A templates. Then, check that you have a master bus and that its
output column says "output is M-Audio Asio ProjectMix analogue out 1-2.

Charles, thanks. That doesn't seem to be the problem. Because when I load up
a project that I did in SONAR, last November, and I turn on input echo and
arm, the microphone works, coming through the project Mix. I can hear myself
in the speakers, or headphones. I just can't make a new project, and have
anything get through to SONAR. Or, maybe I am not thinking about it right. I
am very new at computers. I only got my first computer ever a little over a
year ago. Now I just got this other one with all the recording stuff in it.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will welcome any help you can give me. Doug.

Doug:
You can press inser plus F11 then arrow down until you get to the ProjectMix
control pannel. You will need to tab until you get to the double left click
button. That should open the ProjectMix control pannel. You will need to
use the JAWS curser to go through the screen. It is not very accessible
because sometimes is hard to know which values go with which setting. See
if you can get some sighted help.
