Does the metronome have a tap-tempo feature?

So basically this is not a quick fix, but this will work in some cases. I had a friend that would cut gaps in the music for learning purposes. However, there must be a sinking process that we are all missing here.

Hi. Let's say that your imported music was at an unknown tempo of 88, and after trial and error of changing tempos, you got the closest to be 87. In time there will be a separation. In a project I had that was similar, I had to use the trial and error method until I got it so close, and then where it separated I had to insert another tempo. I know it didn't match perfectly, but it was only noticeable to me cause I knew where I had done it. I think my issue was because I imported a CD that was copied using a Phillips dual CD dubber that dubs in real time. Since there must be a fraction of a second of time in speed between the Phillips' two players, this threw the tempo slightly off from the original.

Hi all, in regards to setting the tempo, how do you stop the tempo from drifting?
