Here's what I do. Insert the session drummer. Get to the midi track for it. Hit alt-8 to get to the synth wrack. Arrow over until you hear it say "plug in name is session drummer" etc., you can hit enter on that and then hit f4 and pick load program and such. The reason you're not getting sound is because you don't have any drums loaded into the session drummer yet. When you have the kit you want then hit ctrl-f4 to close that dialogue and then ctrl-f4 to close the synth wrack view. Then you should be back on your midi track. Might wanna hit f6 to refresh at that point.

You can also get to the same place by getting to the midi track's output and hitting ctrl-y, you might have to hit f6 to refresh first. So f6, shift-o twice quickly to get to the output, ctrl-y, and then I forget if it just brings up the thing with the load program area and such or if you still have to hit f4. I tend to do the synth thing with alt-8 even though it's a bit longer because it tends to work a bit more reliably. However I'm still running sonar 6.2 producer so maybe things have changed in 8.3. Hope that helps.

Hello, perchased and installed Sonar 8.3 producer.
It seems to be working fine except for the session drummer 2.
I understand the midi and audio tracks working together.
Having no problem inserting tts1 or my sound card synth.
Where can I find help for the session drummer?
The ct tutorial help doesn't seem to get the job done.
I am correct in Session drummer comes with producer?
The ct drummer help says to insert session drummer.
Jaws is supposed to say press f4.
Jaws says nothing and pressing f4 does nothing.
My Roland Fantom x7 is working with my Delta 1010 midi in just fine too.

Cheers!
