I found extreme sample converter with a google search, but couldn't find wave
studio. Just wondering which would be easier to use or work the best.

Would this convert Akai or contact samples to SFZ so you could use them
with the SFZ player?

      Hi all!!

With all of the discussion on the SFZ format, thought you would be
interested in this. I have personally used this to convert Soundfonts to the
SFZ format. It's totally accessable too and best of all, it's free!!

sfZed is an editor for the
      sfz format,
      the format for the
      sfz SoundFont Player
      and for CakeWalk Dimension
instruments. The editor works with audio samples to map them to the
keyboard, and shape them to create the sound you want. It uses the sfz sample
player
vsti plugin to audition the results, the synth technology which the sfz
format was based on with full polyphony. It will also convert Soundfont sf2 to
sfz, giving you the opportunity to change and fix the way the it plays
back. The sfz format contains over 200 settings like velocity sensitivity,
loops,
reverb, EQ and controller settings to create the sound you want for your
music. sfZed works with a midi keyboard to allow you to play and set values,
including
      mapping drum samples.

      The link for it is:
