John,

Usually when I see that message of superior etc. it is referencing the FX 
versions of the same Cakewalk effects. Look further down in your list of 
audio effects until you get down to the FX versions in the Cakewalk submenu.

Here's another question.  In Phil's FAQ he mentions putting a pitch
shifter on a bus and sending the signal to it.  Which pitch shifter are
we using for this?  Every time I pick the cakewalk pitch shifter,
caketalking tells me it's not accessible but there are superior and
comparable effects available.  OK, what are they?  I have no idea
whatsoever.
