Yes, that is a drawback with sibelius. You have to rely on your ears to tell you which note in the chord you are hearing. Incidentally, this is an advantage of Lime with the Lime aloud scripts.

Unfortunately, you can't hear what are the notes in the chord, but you can navigate among the notes of it by pressing alt +up/down arrow and make the note you're focused on an octave higher or lower. So you can hear each note. I know that some people have some difficulties with their musical hearing, but that's the only thing I know that works. Further more, if you want to know the exact name of the note, like, for example, E sharp or F, you can be focused on the note and change it by arrowing up or down. If the note sounds the same after arrowing up once, according to the example above, you 've moved from E sharp to F, A second above, or in this case, an enharmonic second above. As I play a c chord, I want to know what notes are in that chord itself. When I'm arrowing through it, it just says chord.
