This does occur with certain soft synths, whether they are inserted in the effects bin or in the synth rack. The only way around it is to start playback, then press record, rather than pressing R and waiting for the count in. When I record something with it on that midi track, then I stop and record something on the bar after the bar i already recorded, the bar I had already recorded seems to play 1 bar forward when I hit the record button. For example, if I record something on bar 25 of a song, then stop, then want to record something else at bar 25, the material I recorded at bar 24 will play at bar 25. This only happens when I hit the record button. When I hit play, everything plays in the right measure. This is the first time I've applied a softsynth into an audio track as an effect and used it that way. I usually use the other route, alt I for insert, then go to softsynths, then pick the synth that way. Any thoughts? Omar Binno www.omarbinno.com
