Alright Johan. What u need to do is go to your control panel. Under that you go
to sound, and where jaws says select a playback device, scrole down to your
internal soundcard (whatever it may be), note though that jaws may see it as
being speakers and not call it by its model number. After you've arrowed down
to your device, tab to set default button. Your problem should be sorted out
now!

Hi Calvin,
My soundcard for the jawssound is the internal soundcard in the pc.
My soundcard for recording sound and audio and midi is the scarlet interface
(externally).
The only thing tha the windows soundcard do is let jaws speak, all the other
things are via Scarlett focusrite.
The dirver is set to asio yes.

Johan. Have you set the audio driver in sonar to asio? If not, its possible
that sonar could be recording the audio passing through windows. If you are
recording soft synths then no other audio source should come through unless
you've selected it that way! Another thing, if u don't make your internal
soundcard the default sound card in windows 7, jaws will automatically select
the default sound card selected by windows. So for instantce, when you power up
your scarlett interface and haven't selected any sound card in windows as your
default, windows will automatically use your scarlett interface as its default
sound device. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I have a problem:
my jaws speaksynth sounds on the line in of my monitorspeakers at first.
I have a focusrite scarlett interface.
Jaws is set to intern soundcard in laptop.
the other sounds are set to the focusrite but the problem is that they are also
recorded in the sonar audiotracks.
Is it the best to set off the sound themes from windows or is there another
solution for this?
When I set the sound in windows to play to the build in soundcard and I record
in sonar, does sonar record than the melodies of my midisynths and keyboard or
should I have to select the device and than it's ok?
