John, I had this problem with my MIDISport 2x2 also. It needs to have more power than a standard USB device. I purchased a powered USB hub and use that for my MIDISport and it works fine now, all the time. I've been noticing lately that at times this u s b device doesn't load, in otherwords, I don't see it in the midi options and I need to restart the computer. Once it loads I don't have a problem. Should I reinstall the drivers or is it possible that the midi sport is giving out? The usb port on the computer is fine. Thanks John Fioravanti PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
