John,

I had this problem with my MIDISport 2x2 also. It needs to have more power
than a standard USB device. I purchased a powered USB hub and use that for
my MIDISport and it works fine now, all the time.

Dave

Subject: [ddots-l] u s b midi device inconsistent

Hi: I'm using the midi sport 4 in 4 out midi interphase with sonar. I've
been noticing lately that at times this u s b device doesn't load, in
otherwords, I don't see it in the midi options and I need to restart the
computer. Once it loads I don't have a problem. Should I reinstall the
drivers or is it possible that the midi sport is giving out? The usb port on
the computer is fine. Thanks John Fioravanti
