basically according to the 10.6 help the service used for activiation
has not been updatedto work with vista, if I am incorrect can somebody
else clarify. I believe that this only efects network installations.

dbt10.4 is not compatible with vista, dbt 10.6 sr1 is required to
install in Vista. note though that a vista machine can not hold an
activation.
