Gezim:

If your embosser has a RAM memory buffer of about 60,000 characters, that may work out to about 90-100 braille pages.

Here is one possibility: When you emboss, the computer is sending characters to the embosser at a very fast rate. The embossing is slow. So the memory area of the embosser fills up fast. When the memory is about 90% full, the embosser tries to send a signal that says "I am full". If the computer does not get the signal, then the computer continues. When the memory is overfilled, it is an error and everything stops.
This is called a "handshake problem".

You could talk to your embosser technical support. Provide all information about the the embosser model, the connection type (serial, parallel, USB, USB with converter, etc.),
plus other details about how you have configured the embosser connection.

You could of course contact support@xxxxxxxxxx as an alternative, Don is an expert at this as well. Dan, Caryn, Peter, and I also help people with embosser problems, but I suspect that Don (support@xxxxxxxxxx) is best able to handle this.

I do not know exactly what is going on, this could be something easy or something difficult.

Good luck. This is an issue for a specialist.

Hi all,

I am trying to emboss a document which has around 50 pages in Ms Word, but I cannot get the embosser to emboss the entire document in Braille. I tried several times, and it would only emboss up to Braille page 94. Any suggestions?

Best wishes,
Gezim
