Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded the JFW scripts, but when I try to compile them I get this error

Compile Error
 Unknown variable VCTX_SCREEN

Although the file list says 2006, the date at the top of the file is May 2005.

Hello Ann.

I think the main problem is that you still need to add the JAWS script files for DBT to your settings folder for JAWS version 9. (DBT 10.6 automatically installs the script files when you install a new version of JAWS, but DBT 10.5 does not do that.)

Here's one way to put the JAWS script files for DBT into your settings for JAWS 9. In DBT 10.5, go to Help menu - Check for updates. On the resulting web page, look for the heading, "For JAWS Users Only." That gives instructions on installing the JAWS script files for DBT into your JAWS settings folder.

Caryn

Without making any adjustments, I had a really tough time making
JAWS9 read a page of text in Duxbury. Some of the time the
Braille wouldn't display. refreshing the screen didn't fix
it. When I arrowed down the speech spit out a lot of symbols, but
nothing that would tell me what the line of text was supposed to say.

Is anyone using JAWS9 happily with DBT 10.5. Is there something I am
supposed to do to make it better? Maybe just not use the JAWS scripts at all??
