Truer words were never spoken, and you're absolutely right about the pitfalls of back translating a file. If you're a braille reader, it's a good idea to emboss a copy of the file and proofread it. I know, it takes time and uses up paper, but it's really the only way to catch all the errors. I also find it helpful to have someone else proofreading the file while I make the corrections. If I proofread it myself, I tend to miss things.
