Yes, you use a scissors or a paper cutter to cut the labels apart; they are
perforated every three inches, but you can probably get at least two CD labels
on one 3 by 8-1/2 inch "sheet."

I'd say either Duxbury or a notetaker would work; if it were me I'd try both
and see what happened. When I did this with an old Braille Lite, one of the
things I liked was the way the clipboard in that unit worked; if I had to make
labels for a 60-volume book (and believe me I did) I just copied the first
label and pasted it 59 times, then went through and changed the volume numbers.
Duxbury's clipboard is a little flaky, in my experience. But try any and all
techniques and see what gives the least headache. If you use Duxbury, create
yourself a document template with no page numbers and call it labels. St.
George has discussed how to do this on this list before and it's not hard.

Hi Susie,

I'm assuming that you cut these in half for a CD? 8.5 would be a bit large for
a disk. This doesn't sound like it would be difficult. Do you think it is
preferable to create the file in Duxbury or with a notetaker such as a
BrailleNote? Thanks. -----Original Message-----

Londa, you should be able to use Embossables from American Thermoform to label
your CD's. They are tractor-fed labels with a peel-off backing; each label is 3
inches high and 8-1/2 inches wide. I mentioned these yesterday since our
Library uses them to label Braille books. I got them to work fine with Duxbury
and a Braille Blazer.

While we're on the subject of labels, has anyone out there printed CD labels on
an embosser? My fiancé has many CD's, and we'd like to label them. It will
take forever if we have to do it by hand. Thanks. -----Original

cards

I have not had much luck with embossing labels for business cards. Many of the
cards now have print on both sides and so the braille label has to be clear. We
braille lots of business cards by hand here at Dolphin Press. We also had
trouble lining up the label exactly on the card. It is very time consuming, but
we haven't found a better way. At 09:15 AM 5/25/2005, you
