Tasha,
You don't have to wait until you are in DBT to change the type of table.
Look at the Tables menu in the Word BANA template. You can select different
options through here. These options insert a code, which then tells DBT how
you want the table translated.
These are the table options:
Columnar = without column headings; if you have column headings you'll need
to modify the code by changing the first 0 to 1
[[*htbs;r:0:0:b:n:c*]] = without column headings
[[*htbs;r:1:0:b:n:c*]] = with column headings
Linear
Listed
Stairstep
Unrelated Columns
The next revision of the template will have separate options for Columnar
with and without column headings, as well an option to interchange columns
and rows.
Sometimes DBT gets confused, so it's best to insert the "End Table" code
after the Word table.

Hi Tasha,
Have you experimented with Table: Properties yet?
I often do, to see if there is a better looking or space saving alternative
to what the "e-brain" decided. (Smile)

Subject: [duxuser] Fun with BANA templates
Greetings all,
Do not know if this has been posted in the forum. I have only been
transcribing for a couple years and am still working on my certification,
and I am self taught in the Duxbury 11.3.
However, I am continually make a lot of my discoveries 'by mistake' (Kinda
of like a scientist) of the powerful tools in the new BANA template.
The most recent discovery is that when I create a table in Word, using the
provided BANA template from Duxbury, and then open it in Duxbury and hit
Ctrl+T for translate, it formats the table as needed!!
Either in columnar format with guide dots and everything:)
Or I had one the other day that was to wide and Duxbury automatically put it
in List format:)
I love me electronics.
