I believe Sue is referring to SimBraille, where unused dots are shown as
slightly smaller dots as an aid to reading braille by sight. An empty braille
cell is shown as six small dots.
You can change the view to SimBraille under the ‘View’ tab (or press Ctrl-F7)

I cannot answer to your inquiry; but it does bring up a question for me.
Exactly what is this ghosting you mentioned? I have never heard of this term
before during my brailling experiences. Thanks.

Subject: [duxuser] Has anyone noticed these issues with Windows 10 and Dux
Hi all,
We have only just updated our networked computers to Windows 10 and have 12.2
Duxbury. We have a sight license for 5 computers.
We have noticed three things that have changed. We get this error message every
time we log on.
[cid:image007.jpg@01D46C82.D6BB62A0]
The font is different on the screen, there is no ghosting of the six dots in
each braille cell (un-used dots) but can’t see anywhere to change the font so
that we have this ghosting again.
Also, when we try to line up the cells when doing contents page or creating
shapes etc it can appear to be a cell out, although once embossed or printed it
looks fine. Just very hard when producing.
Not sure if it happening due to being networked as a staff member of ours has
Duxbury at home with Windows 10 and doesn’t have these issues.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
