Hi duxusers;
I hope someone can help. I have been using Duxbury 10.3 and Windows 98 and a DOS scanner from 15 years ago. This year I tried to condense the amount of computers on my desk to one so now I have upgraded Duxbury to 10.5, a new scanner, OpenBook for scanning, but I must have an incompatibility with the computer and Juliet. I ordered Juliet eight years ago when the other embosser cost as much to repair as it cost to get a new one. Here are the items I have done.
1. Global Embosser Enabling Juliet Classic Generic Text Only lpt1 margins: 14.44 right 15.04 left
I also have follower the section from Juliet online manual Connecting to your computer.
I had to upgrade from 10.3 to 10.5 because someone got into my locked drawer and permanently borrowed some of my software and Duxbury 10.4 was one of the CDs they borrowed.
I contacted Enabling Technologies and Cheryl Lenaritene sent me an email and I followed it as directed.
I contacted Duxbury support three times with no response at all as of yet. I am a bit disappointed in the response time.
The only thing I have not tried is a new parallel cable to see if there is a problem there, but I am waiting for our tech personnel to get back to me with that since all the cables have to be purchased through them.
What can you recommend for an embosser when you tell it to emboss a document it embosses one line with symbols in no readable order. An that is all I get for any size document.
Can anyone out there give me some suggestions because I have things I need to get completed for my students and little time to get them done in. Guess Perkins needs to get put to use. What am I doing wrong to get things to work together well?
