We're actually working on that but I work for a state agency; so who
knows when that'll really happen.

To be quite honest, Tonia, the simple answer is no.

The easiest, but more costly answer, is to upgrade to 10.7 which if
course should allow you to have 11.1 when it is released.

George.

So George, your comments bring another question to mind. Using DBT
10.4
and the Juliet Pro-60, is there a way I can set the embosser settings so
that I can change back and forth between paper sizes by just changing
the embosser settings with in DBT? Right now my embosser is apparently
just set up for 8.5 by 11 which is generally my preference. However,
I'm needing to braille some materials on the bigger 11.5 by 11 paper;
and I'd like to be able to do this without having to mess with the
settings on the embosser each time I want to switch paper size.

Very much appreciate your assistance!

Not wishing to contradict anyone, but users of older versions of DBT
should be careful about re-setting their embosser. In days gone by, one
had to set both DBT and embosser up separately. DBT can also have been
set up NOT to send escape control codes to the embosser.

Nowadays, the dog wags the tail, so to speak, and DBT defaults to
telling the embosser what to do in terms of paper size, page format,
etc.. However, as I said above, this can be prevented in some cases by
the person who set up the embosser.

George.

After you take the embosser off line, if you're using menu 1, press
0.1E, then, 1.1E to reset the embosser.

Thanks all! I just thought I'd read somewhere how you can just type in
a code on the embosser keypad to cancel the job. BTW, it may help to
say that I have a Juliet Pro and I'm using XP with Duxbury 10.4.

It depends on how your embosser has been set up, how it is connected to
your PC, and what version of the Windows operating system you are using.

In many cases, embossers are set up as Windows Printers, so start by
having a look in "Printers and Faxes" on your system, usually reached
via the Start menu. You should find it is identifiable by it's name,
but is could also be called something like Generic/Text Printer.

If you double click on the printer in the list, it will bring up a list
of any jobs currently embossing or printing on that printer. If you see
your job in the list, right click on it, and cancel printing.
(Exect terms may vary depending on system, etc..)

Best however if you can get hold of one of your "techies" or network
support staff though to help initially.

George.

As my subject line says, how do I stop a braille job on the embosser, if
I don't want to continue for whatever reason.

Thanks!
