I was thinking along those same lines, but the more I thought about it, the
more I was convinced that I'd have to find a different code for what I
wanted to do. I guess I've used too many crazy macro languages where you
could test for stuff like that.

Like I say, I don't know much about doing the kinds of things you're working on but Conditional Page or Line or something just popped into my head.

I don't think conditional page break will help here because I don't want to go to a new page. I'm really looking for a code that says, "print whatever follows if it is anything but the first line on a page." Thus far, I haven't found anything like that, and it seems that no one else has either. Nevertheless, I keep hoping.
