OK list, you're free to all call me an idiot. I didn't realise I actually had to write "single-user license", I was just putting the number I had. Boy do I feel stupid. Thanks george for helping to illuminate the world for dunderheads like me.

Cheers,
nadine.

Hi Nadine,

Are you typing in the complete line shown on the card,
bearing in mind that it is case sensitive?

For example, a new copy would be something like:

DBT K6789-56780123
(Note this one is all capitals)

Or perhaps if you have an upgrade, it might be something
like:

Single-user license G6789-56781234
(Note the capital S and H)

If you are, and it still fails, send the number you have to
activation@xxxxxxxxxx

Please do NOT send any actual license details to the list.

George.

Hi George,

I have the card with the license text on it, and when I
insert this text and
hit the next button, it just returns tothat same window,
asking me for the
license text. It's circular, it just goes round and round
asking me for the
information, I give it, it asks again. it's doing my head
in.

Cheers,
Nadine.

Hi Nadine,

What it is actually asking for is your "License Text".
This
is essentially your serial number, with a few extra
characters before and after.

If it is a brand new copy of DBT, there should have been a
yellow card enclosed with this information in both Large
print and braille.

Your dealer (in Australia?) may also be able to give you
this detail, but if all else fails, send an e-mail to
activation@xxxxxxxxxx with the License Number you have,
and
I'm sure they will be back to you with the full License
Text
very soon.

George.

Hi all,

Yesterday, after a months wait, my DBT 10.7 CD finally
arrived. I've installed the software, but every time I try
to go into it I get two options, License and OK. If I hit
license, it asks me for my license number, which I copy
from
the lid of the CD and press enter, but instead of
accepting
it and activating, or whatever it's supposed to be doing,
it
just keeps asking me for my license number. have i
installed
it incorrectly or is there something else going on?

I hope this makes sense.

Cheers,
Nadine.
