Hello Sandy.

Unless you are using a very old version of JAWS, I don't think that the problem
comes from not having the JAWS script files for DBT installed. Every time you
launch DBT 10.6, it checks to see if you have any version of JAWS in which the
script files for DBT are not installed. If it finds any, it prompts you about
installing them. To determine for sure if the JAWS script files for DBt are
installed, launch DBT and press Insert+Q to find out which settings are loaded.
If the script files for DBT are in use, then JAWS says "dbtw settings are
loaded."

When you are working in a braille document and press the UpArrow or DownArrow,
what do you hear?

For troubleshooting, you might also try maximizing the screen, in case it's not
already maximized. To do that, press Alt+Space followed by X.

Sincerely,
Caryn
