Hi George, et al: Thanks, George. Yes, JAWS10.0512 - full version is in the updates list for those using beta 2 of JAWS10. That said, I do of course have JAWS9 onboard (and would advise anyone else thinking of upgrading to keep JAWS9 at least for now, while possibly using JAWS10 to find out what it can and can't do well.) One of the areas, as far as I can see, that it presently lacks is the Duxbury scripts we've got used to. The performance of earlier versions of JAWS, however, is unaffected by this particular lacuna in JAWS10. I was not using beta 2 very much - I didn't download beta 1 - of JAWS 10. I do quite a bit of braille proof-reading in duxbury. However, there are other things I like about JAWS10 in other programs, now that i've been using it more. I'm Looking forward, therefore, to pronouncements on forthcoming Duxbury support in JAWS10. ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Bell" <george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 03, 2008 10:09 PM Subject: [duxuser] Re: JAWS10 and DBT Hi Flor, Full release of JAWS 10 was not notified to anyone. And it is always very difficult for developers faced with beta versions, even if they appear to work OK. That said, you can be sure that Duxbury will be looking at it and will advise accordingly. Are the Duxbury scripts present in versions 8 and 9 of JAWS also present in JAWS10? (I'm using DBT10.6. I don't think they are. there are no scripts listed in the dbtw.jss file. neither do the alt-7 and alt-9 keystrokes work.) Was this an omission on FS's part, or was it deliberate? I have heard no mention of Duxbury support in JAWS10 on this list during the public beta process. Any comments Is it any different with 10.7 and JAWS10? . * * * * This message is via list duxuser at freelists.org. * To unsubscribe, send a blank message with * unsubscribe * as the subject to <duxuser-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
