Hi George:

your instructions sound simple but before I go ahead, there are a couple of
things I need to ask.

With Version 10.5 one is able to include the paper size when doing the embosser
setup from the documents menu. I plan to use narrow width paper for this
purpose and at the moment my embosser margins are set at 5 on the lefthand side
and 44 on the right. When I choose narrow width will DBT change my margins to
reflect 30 characters or do I have to change them manually on the embosser?

The other change is to have DBT leave a blank line in the middle of the page
for folding. There is yet another code for leaving two blank lines on a page
for an extra fold. Where do I find those codes?

  Hi Francis,

Can I suggest we tackle one issue at a time? Let's start with your letter
heading Template.

Open a new document in DBT.

Create your letter heading as you want it. Don't worry if it is not perfect,
as you can change it later.

When you are happy with what you have, from the Document Menu, select "Create
Template".

In the "Create New template text box, replace "Untitled Template" with a name
of your own and press OK.

You will then be asked if you wish to save the Codes and Text with the
Template. Select Yes.

  Close the document.

Now, when you create a new document, you should find your Template Name in
the list of Templates.

  George.

    Hello List Members:

I am very interested in making new templates using DBT V.10.5. In
particular, the letterhead template will cut down my work considerably as this
will include my home and e-mail addresses as well as phone and fax numbers.

A while back, someone did post a message on how this is done but a
malfunction in my computer wiped out all messages I had saved in a special
folder.

Is there material I can look up or alternatively, I would appreciate help
in creating the necessary steps to do this and to create things such as title
pages or embossing Braille texts from about halfway down a page.

    Francis Khan
