Hi all,

Allow me to try a clear up any urban myths about 10.6

DBT 10.6 has not yet been released.

It is however currently at the beta testing stage. This
means that the new version is being tested for problems, and
that no further new features will be added.

At this stage, it is impossible to be specific about a
release date - although it is hoped to be within a month or
two at most.

As regards new features, changes and improvements, these
will be announced when Duxbury themselves are certain of
what will and will not be included.

As regards your eligibility for upgrade, the quote below my
signature comes from Duxbury's web page.

Important Note about Updates
These downloadable updates are for the convenience of
licensees whose original purchase or last paid update
occurred within one year prior to the update release. (We
apply a "baker's dozen" principle here, actually extending
back to the first of the month PRIOR to the release. For
example, for a release that takes place in October 1997,
people who paid for an original license or update from
September 1, 1996 onward would be eligible for free
download. Also, for various reasons we sometimes extend the
year, in which case an "eligibility date" will be listed
with the particular update.)

If you have any questions about your eligibility please
contact us by e-mail at info@xxxxxxxxxx or otherwise as
listed in Duxbury Contact Info, providing your license
(serial) number. The license [serial] number is displayed in
the "About" dialog box under the Help, File or System menu;
it is also printed on the first distribution disk (for older
versions of DBT WIN) and on the original invoice if
purchased directly from us.)

Paid updates, that is those after the one-year window,
should be ordered through your dealer or directly with us.
