Just guessing from your description, it sounds like you are saving your work from the scanner as an RTF file.DBT does not read RTF files.

My suggestion: save as a different file type
**or** read the RTF file into Word, save as a Word file, and then have DBT read the Word file.

Good luck.

I am currently using OmniPage 15 pro. to scan documents to save in word 2000 on a windows xp system. I then open in Duxbury 10.5 and translate into braille. When I do this I get at least a page full of messy, no-meaning symbols intermixed with words and a lot of pars, tabs, \'s, lines written out. I edit out all of this and still end up with pieces of each document missing. Since I translate and prepare 50-100 pages a day this is killing me how can I fix this?
I use a HP scanjet 5590.
Thanks for the help.
