Dave, It is likely picked up from whatever format is used by the person who wrote the original question. If it is plain text, then that's what the reply goes as (as this reply should be). Rick's question came through in an Arial blue font, which means when I hit reply I end up responding in what my program says is rich text. Hopefully this comes through OK, and I'll try to remember to reply in plain text in the future.
