[duxuser] Question about how to format a pattern

I have a knitting pattern, which someone sent me. It's in *.txt format. I
started to emboss it with Duxbury 10, but found that it's embossing as
though it's literary text with paragraphs, etc. How can I let Duxbury know
that it's a pattern? Or, do I need to do something to the print text?
