Hi Ann, The single most important requirement for producing Tables of Contents in DBT braille files, is to ensure that you have used appropriate Heading Styles throughout your document. That is to say Styles "h1.", "h2." and "h3.". Without any of those, you will basically generate a blank TOC. As regards the Levels field, you MUST have an entry there, and for what you describe, this should be "1", and your document should also be using the "h1." Style for Chapter Headings. Aside from that, the BANA default is for Print page numbers, so you would have to use a Custom TOC if you wish Braille page numbers. I have never gotten the nack of it and need to train on it. Do the items in the table need to have a particular code associated with them before starting the process? Where is the cursor placed to begin the process? In the custom field indicating levels from 1 to 99,, can I just erase the 99 or does something have to be in that field? I am just doing a single level table, chapter name and braille page number.
