Hello Everyone, My hard drive for my desktop recently had to be replaced. I am slowly restoring items. I am stumped as to why Duxbury is not working. I have a Basic-D embosser. I used the Index wizard to install drivers. I hear a beep when I turn the embosser on so I figure that is good. I did hear at one point about something like driver recognized. I cannot recall exact words. I am using a computer with Vista Basic. I am using Duxbury 10.7 SR 1. I next installed Duxbury and have to use the application key with administrative privileges to do some things. I did check for updates and I was told my copy of Duxbury is up to date. I have rebooted hoping this might help. It did not. Below is an outline of the steps I took with Duxbury. Go into Global settings; narrow paper, top margin 1; number of lines 25. Global menu: Tab to new button, press space bar; choose embosser model. Select I for Index and arrow to Basic D. Output options, select send to printer. Tab. Make sure Basic D version 3 is highlighted. Control tab to go to Device settings tab. Tab once to embosser version. Select 10.25 or newer. Hit enter twice to go back to main screen. I seem to recall this was when I was installing the drivers. Well the only other thing that was different was a prompt I got about the system could not work with or something with the Sheriff file. I was prompted to go back to the installation page at the time. I decided to change the location from the default to within the program files folder. I was able to continue the installation without an issue. When I open a document in Duxbury all seems normal and after selecting emboss nothing happens. No sound or error message. I did check to be sure the connecting cable was connected and snug. What step did I miss or do incorrectly? I would call Duxbury, but I do not have any days off work except for Monday and the offices are closed on Monday. Thanks in advance for any help. Barbara
