Maybe I'm not understanding the problome, but six key entry is a toggle
off the view menu. The shortcut key is F2. It also is a toggle. You can
verify which mode is active by reading the status line.
Hope that's the simple answer you need. So, go to your problem file and
see if you can make the switch.
