Hi Caryn:

I installed the update shortly after I got the program in February. I am using
speech only, since I don't have a Braille display.

Hello Don.

Have you installed the recent service release 2 of DBT 10.5? If not, you can
install it from DBT by going to Help menu - Check for updates. The JAWS script
files for DBT that are installed with DBT 10.5 SR2 do contain some changes that
fix issues which came up with the release of JAWS 6.0.

Have you set up JAWS 6.0 to work with refreshable braille? When you experience
this sluggishness, are you using just voice, just refreshable braille, or both?

When you are using DBT with the supplied JAWS script files, you can use the
Alt+U toggle to determine whether JAWS reads the translated line when you move
up or down in a braille document.

Sincerely,
Caryn

  Hello:

I'm using DBT 10.5 and Jaws 6.0. When I am trying to read a translated
document, it takes 2 to 3 seconds for JAWS to speak the response. Does anyone
else have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it.

  Any help would be appreciatedccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

  Don
