There are many differences.

Probably the best way to experience MegaDots or DBT is to get demos
available at www.duxsys.com and find out or read the documentation.

A MegaDots demo is available at
http://www.duxsys.com/product2.asp?product=MegaDots
<http://www.duxsys.com/product2.asp?product=MegaDots&level=major&action=demo
> &level=major&action=demo
The MegaDox documentation is available
http://www.duxsys.com/documentation/megadots/index.htm

The DBT demo is at http://www.duxsys.com/product2.asp?product=DBT%20Win
<http://www.duxsys.com/product2.asp?product=DBT%20Win&level=major&action=dem
o> &level=major&action=demo

This might seem like a silly question, but what is the difference between
MegaDots and DBT?

It's manual city here Rick. I'm sure you're missing the MegaDots features
regarding tables. I hope that when the "new" program comes, it will have
features where you can pop automatically from a paragaph table to a
stairstep table to a standard table to a two-page table with a few
keystrokes and not a complete reformat like in the current DBT.

Here's to progress towards the new program in 2006!

Hi Rick, What type of tables are you trying to reproduce? Word will often
convert some tables into a step chart which seems to work well for my
students. You can also use semi-colons after each entry in each row, which
works well if there is not enough room on the page.

Once you've done this and opened in Duxbury, do you have to calculate and
set tab values or do things line up correctly assuming there is enough space
across the page?

I know yu can set up tables inside Duxbury by setting appropriate tabbing.
However, will tables import from Word Documents successfully?
