[duxuser] The Slash in Braille

In representing a slash in Braille: What are the rules for when to use
just dots 3-4, and when you need to use dots 4-5-6, then 3-4?  I was
helping proofread some literary material, translated using Duxbury, and
the expression "needs/strengths assessment" was translated by Duxbury
with just dots 3-4.  When do you use the two-cell symbol?
