I am wondering if you perhaps are not understanding how underlining in braille works?

In print, you would see an unbroken line extending across both words. (in this case, the 7 and the pm).

In braille, if you use the proper underlining codes, it is a two word phrase. You would see the underline symbol in front of the first word, and again in front of the second word. There is no physical line under the words as in print. As such, the space would show as unmarked if you are just seeing the codes on the screen.

Here are the answers to your questions:

I am using Duxbury 12.3. Currently the computer with the Duxbury software does not have and Word software yet. I do have another computer with Miscrosoft with 2007. I'm fairly new to Duxbury and have not learned any of the shortcuts or functions. I'm doing just the basic.

After your response to me, I did type 7 p.m. in Word, underlined it, then translated it in Duxbury. But I still get a space between the 7 and p.m. when I translate it back. Here is an part of the sentence I'm trying to underline:

We will arrive on (Underlined)Tuesday at (Underlined) 7 p.m.

Hope this gives you a better sense of what I'm trying to do.

Your message below shows a space, but with or without a space, DBT 12.3 certainly does not add one when underlined and translated.

Could you advise which version of DBT you are using and which DBT Template you are using. (You Windows version might also be useful to know)

I have tried with both UEB BANA and UEB UK.

I successfully underlined Tuesday, using the underline word typeform. When I try to underline 7 p.m. I keep getting a space between the 7 and the p.

Can someone please help me?

Thank you
