The fact that you don't have Courier New, is almost certainly because it's not an installed font on your system. However, I would have thought that plain courier would be. However, in theory, the fonts which are available in DBT should be what are called "Fixed" fonts. That is to say they they are a specific number or characters per inch, and not "proportional" as most are today. You will need to do some experimenting with sighted help here. First adjust Global, Fonts, then the "Print font size for printed output:" to the size you want. Next you need to go to Global Setup, and adjust the margins and settings there to achieve a suitable output. This is not a specifically tidy way of doing things as DBT was never intended as a Large Print program. Consequently, you can find print being "chopped off" at the end of lines if you try to fit too many characters on the line. This is an area that needs attention, and one which I believe could be improved. I've often thought that having codes like IFBRL and IFPRT don't really come into their own unless DBT is providing a real proper print version. All the best, It's POET'S day, so I'm off for a cold beer. George. _____ From: Foxworth, Ann [mailto:Ann.Foxworth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 09 May 2003 17:03 To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Nita No one else has made any suggestions on my question. I did try your suggestions and found that there is no currier new available in Duxbury. There is also no way to write in a number for the left margin. You have to choose from the numbers offered in a box in the left margin submenu. Ann Foxworth, Computer Braille Specialist Texas Commission for the Blind 4800 N. Which print font did you use? I found that Courier New @ 22 will fit the page pretty well if you set the characters per line @ 40 and the lines per page @27. Also, set the top margin to 1.00. The Left margin should already be @ .75 Nita
