Hi Fina,

I think your problem was introduced by the document you're working on, unless you're seeing this problem in lots of other documents. The settings are already saved for this document, so you shouldn't have to do anything other than what you've already done.

Having said that, however, if you ever have settings that you want to save permanently, the way to do it is to create a template. The option for doing this is in the Document menu, and is called "Create Template." You'll see a drop-down list of the existing templates, and you'll have a chance to enter a new name for the one you want to make. Once you've given your template a name, you're done. The next time you open a document for the first time, or open a new file, you'll see your template in the list of templates that is part of the Open dialogue.

Hello Betsy,

I appreciate your willingness to help. I did manage to fix the problem. I needed to go into the translation tables and check the american english table. However, my question now, is how do i save that permanently so i don't have to keep on checking it with each document? I don't know how it got messed up but now, everytime i try to braille something, I have to go in and change it.

If you can tell me how to make this to be a permanent fix in duxbury, i'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,
Fina Currey
