[duxuser] braille.dot template

If you have Word 2000 or newer on your computer at the time 10.5 is installed, the braille.dot template will typically be installed in the appropriate location. Sometimes agency tech people who install DBT will over-ride the default.

How you "get" to the braille template is dependent on your version of Word. Check out DBTs help for specific info on the template. Navigate to Help | Help Topics. This should open with the Contents tab active. Towards the bottom of the list is an entry for "Word Template (BANA)". "Using the Braille Template" gives specific information for Word 2000, 2002 (XP), and 2003.

If you find the template is not installed, let me know, and I'll tell you how to install it.

Susan

The Spanish style is included in the braille.dot template which was included
with my Duxbury 10.5

As a sighted transcriber, another trick which I find useful is using the
format painter in Word, where you can easily copy styles to other parts of a
document using the mouse, simply by selecting something which is formatted
the way you want, double-clicking the format painter button, then selecting
the word, characters etc that you want the format copied to, rather like a
format copy and paste - I'm not sure how this may work for a blind user.

Hi George,

Maybe it will be a good idea to incorporate this style as an included
style that comes with the braille template for Word? That is kind of a
bit of steps, and could see something getting mixed up.
