People might have different ways.
Usually what I do is:
1. Open the file using Duxbury.
2. Press ctrl+t to convert the brf to dxp.
3. Select all using shortcut key ctrl+a
4. create a new word document
5. Paste in the blank document.
6. Save the file and you got a word document.
Note, the format and the lay out might be changed.
