If it is connected USB, first ensure that the embosser appears in your system's list of Devices and Printers. Now run DBT and from the Global Menu, select "Embosser Setup". If you have already added an embosser from within DBT, ensure that it is highlighted in the Brailler Device: list and select "Modify Embosser". On the dialog which comes up, there is a section called "Output Options" under which are three radio buttons. Ensure that the "Send to Printer" radio button is checked, and from the list of your systems printers to the right of the button, select your embosser. Click OK twice to return to DBT. I strongly suggest you start a new document with just a line or so, translate and emboss to test that things are working.
