Hi Lucy,

What you actually want to do, is pass the ASCII character used by the braille
embosser to generate these signs "raw" as it were to the translator.

The sh contraction sends a % sign, while the en is a 5

So where you want the contractions to stand alone, in your DBT text file, use
the code [q~%] for sh, and [q~5] for en.

Just to cover actually doing this, at the point in your DBT text file where you
want to force the stand alone contraction, hold down the Ctrl key, and press
left square bracket. A dialog will open up saying "Enter Code and Parameters".
Simply type in q~% or q~5 and press enter. You will see a % or 5 on the
screen in black, but if you turn codes an (Alt + F3) you will see the red codes
in square brackets as above.

When you translate, you will get dots 1,4,6 sh, or 2,6 en.
