I used to do this in dos all the time. It gets easier with practice. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann Foxworth" <Ann.Foxworth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, September 27, 2002 8:31 AM Subject: [duxuser] Re: getting jaws to read codes inside brackets I don't know how anyone uses Duxbury without a braille display. I think it would be so tedious for a speech user to rely solely on speech. Ann Foxworth, Computer Braille Specialist Texas Commission for the Blind 4800 N. For ages people have been saying that one can read the codes ok with speech and I have been finding that I could only read some codes and parts of others. I had come to the belief that I must have had something within my JFW set wrongly but as it appeared to work well with other programs I had not worried about trying to change it. I do, though find it extremely frustrating when some codes are spoken properly and others need the two cursors to be routed before getting the required info. Many thanks for explaining so concisely why my problem was occuring. I feel so stupid that such a logical answer had not dawned on me.
