[duxuser] grade 2 to grade 1

I have a few dozen files that are in grade two braille. The student
reads only grade 1. Is there a simple way to do this.
I tried opening the file in grade 2, and then going to Translate, grade
1 in the Layout meny. I got the ole illegal operation error.
