Paul,

DBT doesn't recognize Word's spacing. However you can insert the
DBT code for double spacing into a Word Comment and DBT will
recognize that. Here's what to do.

Place your cursor at the top of the document and press Enter to
   create a new paragraph.
Insert | Comment
Depending on the way you have Word set up, you may see a balloon
at the right of your screen, or a Comment pop-up at the bottom
   of the screen
In the balloon or pop-up type

     dbt:code:svsbl1

You'll see a mark inserted in your document at this location.
Now delete the paragraph mark after the comment. The reason I
had you insert the comment in a blank paragraph was to make sure
the comment wasn't inserted in the wrong location ... but you need
to have the comment at the beginning of your first paragraph of
text to make sure DBT recognizes it.
Save your document. Just to make sure the code is placed correctly
this first time, open the file in DBT and make sure you got the
   comment/code placed correctly.

Susan
