Checking with Library of Congress, ¶ should be transcribed par, using the ar
contraction. That surprised me, but that's what it says!

Aloha Listers,

In the document there are several of these symbols ¶. When I translate the
document, each one of them translate as par. Should I replace them with the
word paragraph? They are part of a document that has sentences such as:
In ¶ 12 you will find the answer. or
In ¶¶ 5 & 6 you will find the answer.
Thanks for any assistance.
Betsy
